BitSavers has a largish archive of documentation, etc. 

Version 6 of the UNIX kernel was also published in "Lion's 
Commentary on UNIX" accompanied by some terse descriptions 
(not as "deep" as McKusick's (et al.) text. 

I'm still waiting for someone to produce the mutt-licks sources 
(even though they'd be highly NON portable -- 36 bit machines??)
