I think Google trends works in percentages of total searches for that country, not raw numbers of searches. Sorry for the top post, using web access, and am too lazy to format a message manually.

And Cuba is the country most interested in Debian?? (large green bar 
under Regional Interest). Now I would start to treat all of this data 
with a lot of suspicion...

USA isn't even in the top 10 countries searching for those terms 
apparently...
