I use the raw hex string with all my devices, and it works just fine.
You can generate the source data here
(https://www.grc.com/passwords.htm) and put the key on a USB drive to
set up the other boxes. It's a slight inconvenience, but it only needs
to be done once per device.

Typing 64 characters into my Palm Pre was a completely different story. ;-)
