[Tfug] laptop

I installed ubuntu 9.04 using a program called wubi on a dell Inspiron 1100 laptop, designed to have Ubuntu as a native windows program. It worked great for a while then would not display an image during boot. I deleted it from windows and tried to load it as a live cd with the same results. Worked then didn't work, strange. Obviously a video problem. 

Ideas welcome...
