[Tfug] Does anybody know about using the Slingbox (or similar?) under Linux?

My landlady has a DirectTV setup.  She also has a decent WiFi setup
with the router not far from the existing TV.  Does anybody know
anything about the Slingbox or similar?

What I'd need to do is access her tuner yet not screw up her access,
and then pass my access across WiFi to my Ubuntu laptop.  I think that
means I need a Slingbox variant that's got it's own tuner on-board,
right?

Anybody know anything about this stuff?
