Also, it sounds as though you have done this, or something similar and
are in fact running Darwin. In that I didn't think it ran at all. I was
wrong. Kudos, but introducing a dependency on Leopard seems problematic...

Look man, I don't hate Darwin I thought it was way less useful than you
have pointed out. Maybe we should talk in person at one of these happy
hours, because then you could see that I never "fly off the handle".

In short, I am privy to some new shit, but from what I've seen I am not
sure it invalidates the points I made about the free and open status of
"MacOS X" in the bundled OS sold in the the stores sense of the term.

You apparently have taken steps to "free up" you system, well done. I am
not totally sold, but whatever. E-mail is so useless for having any real
discussion.
