WorldCare doesn't want "hazardous waste" like
paint, solvents, etc. (though one can argue
that most electronic equipment is hazardous
waste! :< ) Please don't show up with a kg
of Hg and expect us to dispose of it for you! :>

They don't accept large "furniture TV's" (sorry,
no other way to describe them -- things like
the old fashioned "consoles" found in living rooms
in the 50's :> )

Medications are accepted but should be notably
*declared* at the time of donation -- so they can
be disposed of properly. Likewise, medical
equipment and supplies (especially "sharps")

Common sense: anything that you *think* could be
a hazard/risk to the WC personnel should be declared
as such (reaching into a box only to discover an
unsheathed pair of surgical scissors at the bottom
is not a fun experience!)

WorldCare routinely gets large pieces of electronic
"kit" -- including complete rack systems. They
are treated like any other donation. Racks often
are resold to divert them from landfills. Otherwise,
they are processed as scrap metal.
