Reminds me of a threat I got some years ago.  I was outsourced to an IT 
company but did mostly telecom support.  When I complained about the 
work load, they offered to have someone remotely do the programming and 
send me packing.  I countered with, "That's fine but who are you going 
to get to actually replace bad hardware and do new installs?  Seems to 
me that is kind of hard to do remotely?"

I ended up staying until I chose to leave to go back to school.  They 
ended up hiring two people locally to do the job I was doing by myself. 
  One for physical moves, adds, changes, and one to do programming and 
software/hardware upgrades. ;-)
