Hi all,

Another followup: They can only give us one copy of the C++/Qt4 book.
Since there was so much interest, what I'll probably do is just bring
to happy hour so that people can look it over and figure out who wants
it most. (Or we could have a steel-cage match; whatever people want.)

However, Heather (our contact), reminds us that we're all eligible for
a 35% discount on any of their books (TFUG is listed as one of their
registered users groups). This is actually a pretty good deal because
their imprints include IBM Press and Addison-Wesley Professional,
which publishes a bunch of the classic Unix programming texts. (Their
imprints also include Prentice Hall, Cisco Press, Que, Sams, and some
others. It seems like the only publishing company that they don't own
is O'Reilly.)

Anyway, for the 35% discount, just go to
http://www.informit.com/promotions/promotion.aspx?promo=135939 and
follow the instructions for registration.

Claude
