[Tfug] CPU Query

I'm thinking about buying a new box for heavy-duty processing (probably
using CENTOS).  Looking at SWS prices, it's only about $120 more for an
Athlon X2 4600+ system than for an Athlon64 3800+ system.  Anyone had any
experience with these X2 CPUs?  Is there a throughput gain?
