[Tfug] Lokkit for a firewall configuration tool

I had a need to very quickly setup a firewall for a cable modem
user. Their needs are to browse the web, and not get breached.

I installed and configured gnome-lokkit which is a front end for
lokkit. Does anyone have any bad experience with it? Will it do
the trick?

# aptitude show lokkit
Package: lokkit
State: not installed
Version: 0.50.22-7.1
Priority: optional
Section: net
Maintainer: Chris Lawrence <lawrencc at debian.org>
Uncompressed Size: 811k
Depends: libc6 (>= 2.3.6-6), libnewt0.52, libpopt0 (>= 1.10), iptables
Recommends: gnome-lokkit
Suggests: ipmasq
Description: basic interactive firewall configuration tool
(console interface) Lokkit is an attempt to provide firewalling
for the average Linux end user. Instead of having to configure
firewall rules the Lokkit program asks a small number of simple
questions and writes a firewall rule set for you.

Lokkit is not designed to configure arbitrary firewalls. To make
it simple to understand it is solely designed to handle typical
dialup user and cable modem setups. It is not the answer to a
complex firewall configuration, and it is not the equal of an
 expert firewall designer.

Note that this version of lokkit requires iptables (netfilter),
which is only available in Linux 2.4 and later.
