[Tfug] any Linux in-dash car audio tips?

Andrew,

	Lilliput makes an in-dash 7" touchscreen that folds down into the dash 
when not in use. I've used them several times and find them on e-bay for 
about $300. As far as the PC hardware goes, I've gone as far as using a 
simple mITX board, to even using a hacked up XBox. Frankly the XBox was 
a super slick little system, but the standard hardware route is much 
easier.

	For power and such, I've both built and bought a small relay circuit 
that provides enough power to the machine to shutdown correctly when you 
turn off the key, and enough power to machine to power up correctly when 
you turn the key on. To buy something like this costs around $70 or so, 
and after building two of them, I'd say buying one is well worth it.
