[Tfug] Cruel and unusual punishment?

Yes this is cruel and unusual.  I think though the best way to fight
this is on old standing case law that states the court cannot deny a
craftsman his tools .  this goes back 100's of years and a craftsman,
after his serving prison term,  could not be denied his tools.
