[Tfug] iPod Replacement

Well, Cowon claims they make media players for geeks, hence features
like text file reading and USB host (although USB host is just all
around badass, I don't see your average joe using it unless they're
quite the amateur photographer)

My X5L plays oggs great, and flacs decently most of the time. I get
some pretty bad skipping on flacs at times with the occasional freeze,
even at compression level 0. I'm not sure if it's purely lack of
processing power or if hard drive fragmentation plays a significant
role.

I haven't handled Ipods much, but I can't see them having a tougher
build quality than my Cowon, this thing feels like it would stand up to
anything. In the 5 months I've owned it the thing hasn't suffered a
single scratch, dent, or blemish of any kind; and that includes the
screen.

The one thing I dislike is navigation. The scheme is alright, but the
stick is rather uncomfortable to use.
