I've seen a number of responses here and I agree that as far as a GUI-based email client, Evolution is great. But, I wanted something with a little less bulk and I've been very happy with Sylpheed. It's very light-weight, very fast, small storage costs, and imports LDIF, MUTT, and Pine address books.

The only complaint I've had thus far has been the difficulty I've had saving off the message MBOX files and getting them to re-import after I've updated to a new OS (ie, from Mandrake to Vector (Slackware-based), to my current SuSE 8.2 Pro version. Overall, I'm very happy with Sylpheed and recommend it.
