I had great luck with compiling, make sure you have your source for your 
kernel.
I compiled under 2.4.21 I use it from home and it works great.  Just 
make sure you copy the wireless pcf and University_of_Arizona pcf and it 
seems to work really well.  If you want the 2.4.21 module to force load 
i can send it to you to try..
