[Tfug] The $50.00 challenge

If you just want to play with Linux then the answer is yes.  In the past
I picked up a working Pentium 90 ( with 2GB HD, 64MB RAM, and 3com NIC )
from the university surplus auctions.  At the time I could have picked up
the monitor for another $30.  Now the university has switched back purely
to auctioning, instead of listing a price on each computer, so you could
get something for even cheaper.
