getlogin - return who logged in at this tty

SYNOPSIS

getlogin

DESCRIPTION

Returns the current login from /etc/utmp, if any. If null, use getpwuid. 

    $login = getlogin || getpwuid($<) || "Kilroy";

Do not consider getlogin for authentication: it is not as secure as getpwuid.
